Last summer, during Bucks Art Weeks, I had a lovely visit from Teresa at Obsidian Art Gallery. She connected immediately with my artwork, although at the time the gallery wasn’t completely sure whether their audience would respond to my style. Even so, we agreed to take a gentle step forward and place a small selection of pieces in the gallery this January as a trial.
Fast forward to now, and you can imagine my absolute joy when I received a phone call just four days after delivering the artwork to say that three of the six pieces on display had already sold.
The works that found new homes were The Shape of Style, a framed Movement of Moments piece, and a framed Twists of Fashion piece. They captured the imagination of a couple who visited the gallery over the weekend — moments like that never stop feeling special.
The pieces currently on display at Obsidian Art Gallery include:
Twists of Life #3, Twists of Life #6, Movement of Light, The Shape of Movement, The Shape of My Love, Movement of Moments, along with another framed paper piece that isn’t currently available on my website.
I’m absolutely delighted to have my work shown in such a beautiful space, alongside some truly incredible artists including Mark Monroe-Preston, Alexandra Buckle and Emily Ward. Even more so, I’m thrilled that the relationship has started so positively.
It feels like the beginning of something really exciting, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share my work with a new audience through such a wonderful gallery.
