I'm a Giant, and I'm a Tiny Person

My original painting, I'm a Giant, and I'm a Tiny Person, so named because it contains a doodle from an old Maths text book with a drawing depicting exactly that. Sometimes being a Maths teachers and Artist works perfectly together. 

This mixed media abstract painting is bold, playful and unapologetically attention-grabbing. Set against a luminous gold leaf background, it layers expressive paintwork with striking collage elements — including iconic imagery of Robbie Williams’ cheeky moment and Rita Ora’s instantly recognisable face — creating a piece that feels both glamorous and rebellious.

I had so much fun creating this one. It’s all about contrast — the warmth and glow of the gold leaf against raw, energetic paint marks and unexpected pop-culture details. Building up the collage, then responding to it with layered brushstrokes and texture, gave the whole piece a sense of movement and personality. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it absolutely owns the wall.

At 30" x 48", this large-scale rectangular artwork has real presence. The proportions make it perfect for hanging in a hallway or above the stairs, where it can fully command the space and spark conversation.

Framing

Almost all of my originals are supplied with a lovingly handmade wooden black tray frame. If you would prefer to frame the piece yourself, or you want me to arrange a different frame, just get in touch.

My paintings are full of personality, colour and texture and have been created in a working studio. Because of this they will have paint splatters galore - don't expect perfection as perfection is overrated and isn't my style. But expect to be completely wow-ed.

Returns

Since 2020 I have been creating one of a kind, original artwork using acrylic and spray paints. My pieces are vibrant and full of joy. They look a million times better in real life than they do in person as they are full of textures and vibrant colours. If you are unhappy with your piece when you receive it, I am willing to accept returns if I receive the piece back with no damage, at your cost.
